Pretty much as the title states, Linda Larkin and Lea Salonga will be among the Disney Legends Award honorees this August at the D23 Expo. This seems to be a year for the princesses (... erm, plus Regis Philbin and Jim Henson), as Paige O'Hara, Jodi Benson, and Anika Noni Rose are also being honored.

Now that this is outside the news post, I question Anika Noni Rose for this. Not that I find anything wrong with her personally, it's not even been two years since Princess and the Frog. Give it time, people.

...I don't want to say the reason why they're probably honoring her, but if they give it to Anika, they might as well go ahead and give it to Mandy Moore, as well. Shoot, give Ming-Na and Irene Bedard, too.

Oh, I'm aware of why they're probably doing it, but I still think it's lame as heck. And I agree... if they're going to do Anika, they may as well do all of the princesses and call it a day. That would look less suspect and less "well, check out the odd man out"

I'm glad for Linda and Lea. Congrats to them and the other Princesses. I'm not sure about Anika either. It hasn't even been that long.
