I`m deeply disappointed by the way the message board has changed. People never used to post such foul comments . I`m really getting tired of all the trashy comments. This is nolonger a enjoyable place to visit. I never thought it would come to this, but I think I`ll have to leave. It`s really a shame because I actually liked coming here. |

I don't know what I am about to say, so just work with me here.
I'll admit, the board has boosted its rating from PG to PG-13 and beyond. I personally think its funny, but not everyone has the same humour as I do and I pray those who don't stay that way.
I know a lot of the "dirty comments" made are inside jokes from Instant Message chats with other members; at least on my half. They weren't made to be offensive and just piss everyone off purposely, nor to make this Aladdin Central: Version XXX. Most of us here are 18 and over, so the comments are not always going to be kid friendly. I'm not saying what we said was all ways right, but it's just an expression of an opinion. People are always going to see something differently or read something differently. A lot of these comments have been building up because we always have to stop and think if what we are going to say is going to offend anyone. What's the point of a message board if you can't say what you really want to say?
Another part of it is that since the release of the DVD, we have had a lot of hardcore conservatives and annoying newbies come and tell us that the little comments we made before wrong, so I guess we rebelled and made the comments ten times worse than before to scare them off. Fans are welcome here and I certainly can't say they aren't, but if they can't handle little comments like a Aladdin and Mozenrath pairing or even fanfiction ideas that think outside the Mary Sue themes, then I guess this really isn't the place for them. Nor do I think any other place online is the place for them. No one's fandom is 100% pure- Disney or not. Trust me. I use to hang out at the Hey Arnold boards and if you think this is bad, you haven't seen anything.
As for you, I'm sorry you feel this way and must leave. If you found any of the comments I made here offensive, I'm sorry. It was all in playful fun, but I can understand if you want to leave. I wish you nothing but luck and that you continue to represent Aladdin. |

*Shrugs* I hate to come off as a bitch, but I think that you are way too easily offended. We like to joke around and have some fun, and if it ends up rather adult... then so be it. It's not like we do it to mock or insult the characters- it's just some good fun.
If you want topics away from the dirty subjects, start serious ones. I am more than willing to do an in-depth overanalysis of anything in any part of the trilogy or beyond. Just say the word and I'm there.
Edited in order to make the board as a whole look a lot better. _________________ "This cow's been covered with flour!"

Well, there are lots of G and PG rated Aladdin communities: AML, AWNW, Agrabah over on LJ, the Black Sand Pub... and I believe the only other one over that is Mozeketeers, also on LJ. So, yeah, no shortage of kid-oriented Aladdin groups. So I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'm not going to change it when there are already plenty of other comms for younger people, and I'm not going to ask you to stay somewhere you're unhappy.
And where'd everyone get the idea that the board was PG before this week? I'd have always allowed anything up to PG-13, I just didn't bother to tell anyone. I guess that's what happens when we assume.

All these years of hearing "Things aren't always what they seem" and we didn't think to apply it here *hits head*. I personally didn't know if little comments like that was allowed or not because I didn't want you to get your head chewed off because of something I said. It wasn't officially tested until this week, I guess.
I've always censored my PG-13 comments for the sake of not angering someone-even my drawings. (Jasmine flippin' the finger comes to mind.) I didn't post it here because I didn't want anyone to freak out. Hell, I was scared to post the Jafar/Maleficent and Aladdin in street rat boxers ones because they might cause a few people to flip. I've got more, but I just decided to stick them all on a website.

I tried to turn in a pic like that for my high school art class.
Ms. Cardisco made me change it, otherwise I would have gotten no grade for it. _________________

BNF?
What's that?
If it's bad, just make so I'll have to highlight it to read it. Some sensitive people may be offended. _________________

I kind of figured it out when JessieGurl when on her whole "Nick and Jessica fucked up AWNW" spree and you didn't mention the language. *Bows to her evil genius nature*

I know things aren`t going to be changed just because of one person. I always make a big deal about things, when morals are concerned.I regret that I started a topic about odd parings. If I had known things like this were going to happen,I never would have posted it.I think it would be in everyones best interest ,if controversial topics were avoided.I`m 22 years old and I enjoy jokes just like everyone esle. Jokes don`t have to be dirty,in order to be funny.I don`t consider these kinds of things to be "Adult" jokes. Topics like Jasmine porn should be deleted. It really doesn`t add anything to Aladdin fandom. If anything,it just makes it look bad. |

No, it's an aspect of our fandom, and it really shouldn't be ignored.
You are complaining about the pairing thread, when the pairings mentioned did simply what you wanted- we revealed what we thought would be interesting. You have gotten all huffy, seemingly because we have a different idea set than you do. I don't know what the thread has to do with morality anyway. Was it the slash pairing? Or the joking about? Because either way, it's overdone. *Shrugs* Maybe I'm just talking out of my flaming liberal ass. (And trust me, when your ass is on fire, it hurts!) _________________ "This cow's been covered with flour!" |

True, and I know plenty of jokes that are funny that aren't dirty at all. However, that doesn't mean that dirty jokes are necessarily bad, either. _________________ I don't need intelligent drugs, because I don't know what they are. Trust me, I've seen nothing "bad" here yet. I've been in the TRUE pits of the web, and this is hardly even comparable.
Don't like topics about pr0n? Stay off the web. I draw hentai (erotic art/porn) and am "The First Lady of Hentai" on other sites. Those who aren't adults here act like adults (for the most part) so I have no problem with ANY of the topics posted so far.
And as far as "suggestive" material or innuendos go, no one's bitched about my location as of yet.
