I've been thinking recently about back when we did the episode tournament and how much fun I had with that and trying to think of something in that vein that we could do now. All I can think of is something like a watch-through of the episodes in order, but that's maybe a little too similar to the episode tournament.  Basically, just curious what you guys think; what kind of fan stuff would you be interested in doing as a group?
(Sorry if I'm making no sense at all. )

Nah, it makes sense.
It's hard to think of stuff. I mean, it's been a while. ROJ turns 15 this year. D:
We could go for a character tournament, but I have no idea how that could be bracketed. We could expand the idea of the villains poll and see which villain wins out. Or do the gang, but that'd be a pretty short tourney.
Or, conversely, we could do a least favorite episode poll. The brackets wouldn't even have to be as long; we could skip some of the major fan favorites (including the Best Episode winner Dune Quixote)... or just replace that with something like "More Than a Peacock Princess..."
Or how about something like icon challenges or prompts? Even something like a ficlet (very small, considering we'd want it to last ) or essay prompt, where we just... pick a character and write a little drabble/talk about them for a while. I don't know how that's any different than what we do now, but still.
There's also the message board staple of a "finish this story..." where someone starts an idea and someone continues it, etc, though that often dissolves into nonsense.

Heck, we could even do that in real time starting in ... September? as the episodes hit their 15th anniversaries. This could be a big pain in the butt, considering that we'd have a lot of the series really fast, then some gaps in between, but in theory, maybe it could work out?
That could also turn into weekly character threads, too. Imagine the possibilities: "It's Akbar week here on aladdincentral.org"

I seem to remember some kind of story thing we did a long time ago. It might've been a good news/bad news type of thing. I can't quite remember the object of the game, but everybody took turns posting something, and I remember the palace was infested with fleas or lice or something, Sadira disguised herself as Jasmine and kissed Aladdin, oh yeah, and it was spring cleaning or something. Oh yeah! Rajah had fleas and they might've spread. Gods! Someone help me out! Does anybody remember? AG, I think you were an avid poster in that thread! But you're a "Genie of the Message Board," so that could be true about 69000 threads. And now I'm making a lot of typos that I have to correct, so I should probably go to sleep.

I think we tried to restart that up again recently and it didn't take, but we've got a lot more wacky screencaps since then, so it might be worth another try.

More like one, big almost a year long gap. It's a good idea in theory, though! And I like the idea of doing something for the series' aniversary...

You can try to get all the episode transcripts done by then (with some help, of course!)
But, beyond that, there must be some way to honor the series around here, maybe by doing the group watches you mentioned in the first post? We could at least do "Air Feather Friends," since it's the first to air.

Well that will never happen if the board stays this active! For instance, I just spent the last hour rereading the old caption thread instead of proofreading transcripts.
