What song on the radio that would you dedicate to Aladdin , to the other Aladdin characters or songs that made you think of them? Everytime I hear "She will be loved" by Maroon 5, it reminded me when Jasmine rejected all the suitors and how she wanted to marry for love. Things like that and
Plus, it would give me an insight on what you guys listen to.

I would dedicate a song to Aladdin, "Baby boy" by Beyonce and "Erase and Rewind" by the Cardigans.

I know we had a topic like this before, but I'll bite.

When I hear "The Consort" by Rufus Wainwright, I see Aladdin singing it to Jasmine.

Gosh, there are a lot. I Have Nothing and I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston both remind me of Aladdin and Jasmine's relationship. Also,I picture Jasmine singing the song Dangerously In Love by Beyoncé.

If I were Aladdin, I might consider dedicating ABBA's Take A Chance On Me to Jasmine. ("Let me tell you now/My love is strong enough/To last when things are rough/It's magic." It's sung by females, but the lyrics are outstanding and not necessarily gender-specific.)

From either end, ABBA's Love Isn't Easy (But It Sure Is Hard Enough) would work well, I think. ("We gotta have patience/Love isn't just a sensation/Some of the time it gets rough/Love isn't easy, but it sure is hard enough.")

And how about... This Magic Moment? One of the most gorgeous songs I've ever heard. The lyrics and tune are... well, magical. If you haven't ever heard this song, get out and hear it.

I probably would sing along to the CD if I knew all the lyrics properly.

I agree completely. Very Happy

And Syera...if you're on your own singing with a CD, does it really matter if you know all the correct lyrics? Smile It's fun to make 'em up...or just open a lyrics website and karaoke with yourself and know you're right so you can learn all the words. Smile

Seeing how I make Aladdin music videos (well used to anyway... Embarassed ) I spend quite a deal of time thinking on this.

Aladdin
Young and the Hopeless (Good Charlotte)
My Escape (Reliant K)

Jasmine

Overprotected (Britney Spears)
You Found Me (Kelly Clarkson)

Aladdin & Jasmine
Thank God I Found You (Mariah Carey and Joe)
This I Promise You (N*sync)

...Yeah there's more, I'm just lazy.

Aladdin:
I'm a Believer. It's somehow... exactly perfect.
Here's a song that I wouldn't dedicate, but is great for Aladdin: "Oh, there's a monkey in my pocket/And he's stealing all my change/His stare is blank and glassy/I suspect that he's deranged!"

Jasmine:
Jack's Lament. Really. I mean, sure, in content it isn't really appropriate for her, but the mood in which it was written is perfect.

Genie:
"What can I do for you/I will do anything you ask me to/I (something something something) through and through/Indeed I do/So what can I do for you?" From Popeye's Aladdin.
But if I really wanted to dedicate a song to Genie? Um... "Muskrat Love". I think he'd like it.
