Did anyone watch the Emperor's New School tonight? It was cute. I have grown to learn the show (and movie/sequel) is meant for people with ADD. The time out to draw the next scene and what was going to happen was sooo random Laughing . I never realized how random everything is.

They did some of the same gags from the original like Kuzco cutting the film reel and drawing on the screen with a big red marker and him whining about his face (just change 'llama' to 'rabbit'). But they had to some great stuff that they remade, though. I loved:

(After scheming on something to stop Kuzco from winning the race and turn him in to just like in the original, they finally decide on a turtle)
Kronk: You know, it doesn't matter because I'll still win the race tomorrow.
Yzma: Well, then what I am going to do for the rest of the show?
Kronk:..................................................................................................................................................riiiiight Laughing

But I'd have to say my favorite part was the following:

(Trying to get Kuzco to eat a chicken nugget covered with a special sauce that will turn him into a bunny after he has refused several times already)
Kronk: Open up!
Kuzco: Nuh uh!
Kronk: Come on! You know you want to!
Kuzco: *shakes head no*
Kronk: Here comes the Nugget Train Express!
Kuzco: Hey, I'm not sticking anything called the Nugget Train Express in my mouth Laughing

David Spade and John Goodman are absent as VAs, but it wasn't a dramatic difference in their characters. It will just take some getting use to. I missed the first five minutes due to baking a pizza, so if anyone wants to fill me in feel free to.

Oh, and I still want to marry Kronk Laughing

I'm still a bit skeptical but, reading what you just posted, hmm, I might be persuaded to check it out.

I watched it. It was okay. But his love interest's eyes are so....

weird Confused

and huge Shocked

I'm surprised and upset by the voice changes but I think I can get used to it. Genie wasn't the same in the Aladdin series, but I still liked it. The Emperor's New School will probably get better with time. There are some things I didn't get though. Why is Kuzco not living in his palace? And why is Kronk going to school with him? (I didn't watch the sequel) I'll watch it for a couple more episodes before deciding if I'll continue.

I also hated these shows but then I grew to love them: Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Oddparents, Danny Phantom...All of their first few episodes aren't as funny, but the show really picks up after a while. They all made good changes like

Some actual character development on Jimmy Neutron and better jokes and storylines

Changing Cosmo's voice and character on FOP, showing Timmy's parents (they used to be just feet) and the show became progressively funnier after a while.

So I'll keep watching ENS to see if I'll like it more. Very Happy

Laughing It's better than the random middle of the day. I always seem to think about it after it's over.

I saw it, and I'm pretty sure they didn't explain that in the sequel.

Jimmy Neutron still scares me . . .

Cindy alone is a rip-off of Helga. A tough badass blone who secretly has a thing for the odd shaped head main character, but won't admit it? Oh. Please. Laughing
