Oh, I agree. Smile The one time I wrote about the guantlet I wrote it with a lot of similarities to the One Ring. Laughing

I don't know if he'd be able to fight it off forever, but I think because of that he'd be able to fight it longer than most people. Plus, he didn't wear it for long and didn't use it much when he did.

It's his gateway drugs to power Laughing

I think his body from what he told in Two to Tangle has kinda become dependent on it because of the power it has, so taking it away from him isn't good. He kinda needs it, but at the same time it's draining him, so I guess you could say it's like how people act with drugs.

I got to thinking about the concept of magic addictions after having watched a Mozenrath episode. I mean, when they take his gauntlet away, he acts as if he needs it to survive. Not to mention the fact that he collects magic. The way he demanded his gauntlet in Lost City of the Sun and Two to Tangle reminded me of how people addicted to smoking need to have that cigarette at 2 p.m. in order to avoid DTs.

So, do you think magic is to Mozenrath the way cigarettes are to a chronic smoker? Or, perhaps it's the gauntlet itself. I mean, we know that wretched thing has some pretty nasty side effects.

Thoughts?
