At least it's a bonus feature now. We have the previous DVD and the version where you can watch the movie with it in there. It is so out of place. lol aladdin diamond edition. That's probably not gonna happen, along with bringing it to the screens again in 3-D. I just saw a list of the planned ones and it's not on there.
I feel like that's a logical assumption to make (just like with people assuming Aladdin was going to be in 3-D in theaters since TLM is going to be along side TLK and BATB), but they're more than likely not going to give us anything next year past a pin or a snowglobe or something for the 20th. They
just
put it back in the vault three years ago. I can see them taking Cinderella out next year, but not us (which I think is where the rumor is coming from. Cinderella went in at the same time as us, so if it's coming out next year like some of the rumors state, Aladdin should, too, when that's not necessarily true). If anything, they're going to skip it and wait for the 25th anniversary. I don't know, I'll believe it when I see it, but I'm incredibly doubtful until then (especially given the sale problems the DVD had the first time around. Waiting would be a good thing.)

The more movies that aren't in 3D the better for me personally - eyesight's so bad I can't watch them!
I'm pretty sure Aladdin is coming out on blu-ray next year for the 20th anniversary, but not getting a diamond edition...

Yeah, I was disappointed with the list of 3D films as well.
That said at least we pretty certain Aladdin will be on Blu-Ray next year and even if all they do is a straight re-release it'll still have better bonus features than pretty much any other Disney Blu-Ray! But I'm still hopeful they might add a short feature on the Seattle show (like TLM Broadway got a short feature on TLM3 DVD)

Well I can say this, on BluRay, the movie looks bloody fantastic, and it's nice to also have a digital copy to download to my iPod, but it's really lacking in bonus features. It doesn't even have Elton John's music videos for Circle Of Life and Can You Feel The Love Tonight. And why not? They were on the previous Platinum Edition DVD! The only bonus feature we get music wise is this crappy deleted song called "The Morning Report". What a crock! But I digress. Those that preordered it at Toys R Us got 10 dollars off and a free poster with the movie. But I don't know where the heck I'm gonna put it, and it's a shame, because it's a
really nice
poster. I guess I'll just have to hide it behind the bed for now. X_X I guess it was a good buy. Now when will the Diamond Edition of Aladdin come out?
From what I hear there isn't going to be a "Diamond Edition". There's probably going to be a 20th special anniversary edition next fall. Not sure if it is true or not.

Did they still edit out the scene where Simba chases Mufasa's clouds? They did before...
