It just felt so odd having these sequels that were taking characters and, in many cases, taking them out of character, taking away my fondness for the characters and the worlds they lived in. Namely the ones where there are kids involved. <br /> <br />But, and some people may be a little peeved, I agreed that a good number were still pretty good. I've seen Cinderella III, and other than the fact it is a sequel, it's pretty good story-wise. There were a few spots that made me cringe to watch, but I liked how they strengthened Cinderella and continued the development of Anastacia (I'd seen CII, and her featurette was the only one I liked). That, and the nightmare coach-ride was great. And I liked LK1 1/2. <br /> <br />So yeah, I'm glad the commercialization aspect that the direct-to-DVD films have created has gone away. Glad to have some, but some we really could have done without. And it's because of the erratic quality and amount that really earned the idea of these sequels my dislike.
