He didn't score points for the cool means of transportation, IMO, though I'm sure that didn't hurt.  He did something special for her that was meaningful; he took her to see the world.  That's the sort of gift that really is from the heart, and I think since it meant so much to her, it meant more to him, too.  (I love watching that whole scene...Jasmine's looking all around taking everything in and looking like a little kid at Disneyland, and he's just happy to watch her react.)  He does something that's special for the two of them and they enjoy it together.

~Choosing to stay with Jasmine as a snake-person (would he still be a naga or does that imply female?).  That's not the sort of scenario you'd encounter in real life, but I still am so amazed by that sort of devotion, especially because she really tried to push him away.
