| Has anyone ever read Lloyd Alexander`s Chronicles of Prydain ? The books are very good. I was disappointed with Disney`s version of the Black Cauldron.They had a great cast of characters to work with,but Disney blew it. They tried to blend two different story plots into one. It is needless to say that they failed. The characters lack the personality of the books. They made some major changes to Eilonwy`s character. The changes were good ones.In the book, Eilonwy is scatter brained,but Disney made her clever and a bit more out spoken. I like her better than the old school princesses. Eilonwy is a much better heroine than Ariel. She deserves to be part of the Princess Collection. |

| Don't know the books, I never know the books Disney makes a movie of but I love TBC. It was my first movie I saw in theater when I was little. Got the VHS a few years back and is high on my DVD want list. |
