Now that Disney has released Aladdin on DVD, is there any life left in Aladdin? Has the franchise been drained with the only thing you will see, is a small cameo in Kingdom Hearts? Or do you think that Disney will breathe life back into this dying franchise? _________________ "Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead.

First off, thank GOD they finished our sequels before they actually started making them in mass production just because.
I'm sure they'll come up with something, though. Aladdin 2 1/2 I heard there was that Search for Mickey thing, but that's been in pre- production forever. But we haven't had any real fandom footage since...Hercules and the Arabian Night cross over and then KOT in 1996 for then and look at us now. So, we'll keep it alive even if Disney completely forgets us sometimes. |

The thing about Disney is that everything comes back eventually, no matter how long it takes. I mean look at Ducktales, Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, Talespin, the princess collection... (And then, on the negative side, Cinderella 2.) |

Yeah... it comes back, and not necessarily with the life and vitality it had before... so it just shambles around in an undead state, scaring the pants off of some people and making others hold their noses in disgust.
But really, sometimes you just can't and shouldn't mess with a good thing. If anything, the only thing I'd like to see done would be Return of Jafar and King of Theives completely redrawn to match the quality and style of the first movie.
Oh... and the cartoon series released to DVD. I've never seen it, except for one episode involving Sadira. (I believe it was titled "Witch Way Did She Go." The one where Iago's body is turned into an hourglass.) _________________

That would be good to have the series on DVD. I have seen very few of them... The Hunted, Power to the Parrot... a few others.
Personally, I think that Disney won't redraw it, they'll just do something and make another movie or something that will be even worse than the sequels... not that the sequels were bad. Just that the sequels never live up to the original quality. However, I would like to see it redrawn. Especially Jafar, he needs a lot of work on the face, as do Al and Jas.
One more thing, I have always wondered what Mozenwrath would look like in good animation. Like Jafar looks SSSSOOOOO good in the first movie, but not in the series. What would change about Mozenwrath? He'd sure look a lot better. _________________ "You're already writing the music into the songs and the music out of the songs and writing the music within the songs for dialogue and little bits of music for scenes. Hmm... an interesting thought. Definitely an avenue worth exploring, if only on a sheet of paper.
(By the way, there's no W in "Mozenrath." I know, I know, I'm being nitpicky, but for some strange reason, it really bugs me when people insert the W.) _________________

As long as they don't let Jeff Bennett anywhere near Mozey, it might be a good thing. *thinks of possible voice actors who could do Mozenrath* _________________

They could always re-release KOT without the pointless cropping. I STILL want to kill whatever idiot thought that was a good idea. _________________

They did re-do the Aladdin DVD, and yet we still didn't get much more publicity. I think Disney is letting us down. |
Heh, and I remember that the press-release for the DVD said that it would be one of the biggest DVD marketing campaigns ever.
...Right
Unless a Corn Flakes box from 1992 and 2 Kleenex boxes is huge.
I mean, Jasmine didn't even get a 10th anniversary doll!
*Looks at her 10th anniversary Belle happily* _________________

Eh, I dunno. We got as much if not more than any of the other Platinum Collection DVDs did. |

Bah, I was expecting big. Like...Prince Ali parades in every city in the world!!!!!!!!
...Or just some toys and action figures, like Lion King got. That would have been enough. _________________
