I know I'm late to the post. I don't know why I didn't think to post this here earlier...
Don Bluth, who brought us movies like The Secret of Nimh, Anastasia, Thumbelina, All Dogs Go to Heaven etc... Has an Indiegogo campaign (they've raised more than enough  ) to create a 2D animated feature film based on the vintage videogame.
Not sure how this will work as a movie, but I'm excited about it!!!
