Ok, now you'll want to find the program that decrypts the DVD. It should say decrypter. Get your DVD and place it in the computer so the program can read it. Then when you want to decrypt, just say you want the video files.

Wait... I pressed the little picture that had a DVD and an arrow pointing to a box. I think it's doing something... I think it's copying the DVD into my computer... but I have like 22 minutes left until it's done.

Hmm, I thought I figured out a way to just do the video, but ok. You can still decrypt without it. Just go to file and decrypt.

Ok, it said it downloaded 79 files and skipped none. Is that the way things are supposed to go... did I do it right?

And if I did... what do I do know?

Yeah, I was trying to remember how to make that number smaller but it doesn't matter. Very Happy

Now find the DVD2AVI program, which rips the DVD and changes it into an AVI format. This one is going to take a while to rip if you choose to do that entire movie. It's quicker if you just pick the parts you want because it also gives you the credits Confused

Open the DVD2AVI thing and go to file, open or add (I can't remember, lol). You have to find the files you just decrypted. They should be in a seperate folder. I'm not sure which file is the movie itself, but I know if you click the right one, six other files will be in box that has the buttons "Add" and "Delete" in it. I think the file ends in .voc or something like that.

Ok, I found the DVD2AVI... but I dont' know how to find my movie files... I have alot of folders... so how do I find the 79 files I just put on my computer?

Yes, the 79 you just ripped. They should all be in one new folder wherever you told that to go.

And out of those 79, only 6 are the actual movie pieced together. I believe the file ends in .voc

I went back to the decrypter and looked through the files, but none of them ended in .voc... some ended in .vob, could that' be what you're talking about.

I can find them on my decrypter screen, and I know that they've ben transfered, but I can't find them when I go to DVD2AVI. Maybe there is a way to get them direct from my decrypter screen to the DVD2AVI screen. Let me try.

Yeah! .Vob. But Voc is close enough Wink

If you can find the folder that has all the files under a windows search, you can rearrange all the icons based on which is the biggest and the tops ones should be the movie.

But the files should be under a folder with the name Q6pt...something like that. They might be in a folder that is in the Gordian folder or on your C drive.

Ok, I have a problem, all the files *which would be 41 of them* end in .vob... maybe I didn't find the right files.

Nope, those are them! .vob is actually the file format that DVD video is encoded in. Smile
