Woah.  I haven't thought of that.
Anyway, I don't see how they can have enough privacy to make kids. genie and the animals are always popping up when they're not wanted, the Sultan probably doesn't know about the birds and the bees, and Rasoul is always watching. Not to mention all those people that keep trying to take over Agrahbah. And now that Iago is gone, it's going to be hard to get any privacy, since he was like their privacy-police in RoJ. |
Maybe that's where the hovel comes in handy.

The suitors would probably have to wrestle Aladdin and Genie before they even got close to Al's daughter. Go through billions and billions of interview, be spyed on, etc.

lol And Jasmine wondering why no suitors ever come to call. When she had to get married, there were tons. Isn't her daughter atractive enough?

And the 'fortunate' one who does manage to survive all the tests, goes through Meet the Parents. With Aladdin and Genie embarassing him like Jack did to Greg until he got tired.
What of Al's sons, though? Those won't be able to get a good match, either, with the parrot and grandpa's advice. Iago says to quote witty people, and what charms do you suppose Cassim used on Al's mother. Besides his looks, though of course, he wouldn't have any need to use any charms on me. The looks alone would have done it.

But Aladdin will be suspicious of the first suitor that sings to his daughter. "Hey! I sung to Jasmine, and Jasmine totally fell for it!"
Something tells me he's had more than a few girls in his hovel. |

I wouldn't say he doesn't know... I'd say it's more like he's so senile he can no longer see the snad.
Personally, I've had a few concepts for what Babkak (the name I gave to Aladdin and Jasmine's newborn son in Consequences, my fanfiction) might be like when he's older. In my head, I keep seeing this kid who acts a LOT like Jason from Foxtrot.
