Hi everyone! I thought I'd quit lurking and finally join.

I am a long-time Aladdin fan and I support both the original movie and its sequels. I like roleplaying, drawing, and attempting to write decent fanfiction. xD I hope to make some friends here. ^^

Genie isn’t my favorite character (though I do think he’s hilarious), I just thought this avatar was amusing. My favorite character is Jafar (and Nasira, but not many people know who she is, lol). And thank you, I just hope I’ll have the patience to complete and upload a few fanfics in the near future. ^^

Yeah, Genie is pretty lol although I always end up loving the baddies...in other words, Jafar. I'm such a fangirl. <3 I bet you'll be able to complete the fanfics! Just have faith in yourself. ^^ Although I'm such a hypocrite for saying that since I have about ten unfinished fics somewhere. xD

Same here. While Aladdin is my favorite Hero, I do tend to like villainous characters. There’s so many of them in the Aladdin saga and they’re all interesting to me, lol. Jafar’s a legend though and I’ve been a fan of him for quite some time.

I did have an account on Fanfiction.net, but I forgot its info. I do plan on creating a new one sometime soon. Maybe that will motivate me to complete those unfinished ones and maybe work on those plot bunnies. xD

You're very right about the many villainous characters. I am going to be straightforward and say that I've only watched Aladdin because of Jafar. <3 No laughing at me. lol How long have you been a fan for?

Aladdin came out the year I was born and I’ve always loved that movie. When Jafar turned into a snake, I immediately started liking him (I was one of those children that didn’t go through the ‘Disney Princess’ phase). Over time, I started liking Jafar for his character and not his snake form, so yeah…I guess it’s safe to say I’ve been a fan for as long as I could remember. He’s such an awesome character.

I most likely will. I need to complete at least one fan fiction. Dx I have many ideas, but then I get a new idea and it becomes a mess. I guess you know how that is. ^^; I’m also attempting to learn how to make AMVs. Maybe I will make a Jafar one in the future.

Cool! How old were you when you first say Aladdin? Omg, I have a thing for snakes. I have a snake actually. ^^ I really want a boa. If I got one, I'd name it Jafar. I'm not much of a fan of his genie form tbh. I love his normal form. He just looks amazing that way. *swoons* Lol, I'm such a fangirl. xD

Yes, you need to complete one fanfic! You can do it! I've completed about four and I've decided that's good enough. Razz

What are your ideas for the fic? I was thinking about doing another Jafar/OC or Jafar/Jasmine fic in a bit. A Jafar AMV would be awesome! When did you start making them? I don't know how to make AMVs, but I like making graphics and writing fics. :3

I think I was two or three. I was pretty young at the time. And I love snakes, but my mom is scared to death of them. ;-; So no snakes for me. And wow, I thought I was the only one who didn’t like his genie form. I wished Aladdin killed him by plunging a scimitar into him-not by cramming him into a lamp (or throwing said lamp into lava >>;) His normal appearance is amazing and I would have been content if he remained that way.

Here’s a few ideas:

Jafar‘s Past- I want to steer away from the ‘dark past’ trend, but happy-go-luck bores me.

Second Generation- Title says it all. I’m a little hesitant to do this since I’m afraid of making them mary-sues (or marty stus). Plus, I originally had a ‘Romeo and Juliet’ theme to it, but I scrapped it since that’s been WAY overused in fan fiction. Though I've seen a few people carry it out well.

The death of Jasmine’s mother

I didn’t make an AMV yet, but I’m slowly learning. It’s another one of those things that require a lot of patience.

Wow, that young? I'm kinda new to the Aladdin world and I'm wondering how I could've missed something this awesome, you know? Lol, that sounds like my mom! She hates snakes a lot, but she gave in and let me get one, yay! Although she did say no king snakes, but I suppose I understand why. Yeah, I didn't like the throwing the lamp thing either. But if Jaffy had gotten stabbed, I would've been crying, so maybe the lamp thing was for the best. Mm hm, I find his normal appearance beautiful. rofl I wish I knew someone in real life like that.

Personally, I think those are all great ideas. I would like to hear about Jasmine's mother's death particularly though. That's always interested me and I haven't really been able to come up with any theories for it.

Yes! I understand patience. Learning how to use GIMP was so hard. =/ Do you have a youtube account, btw?

Thanks, that one is my favorite personally. I may end up writing that one since I always kind of wondered what happened to her. Probably died in childbirth or something.

And yes, I have a you tube account - TheSerpentineWitch. I have one AMV/Slideshow I made of a character (which took me two months to make). Other than that, it’s pretty bland. I need to upload more videos. xD

I tried to use GIMP before, but it confused me so I have Paint.net and Photoshop (though that confuses me as well).
