Classic ABC television shows unavailable today on DVD will likely turn up soon on the Internet, Disney CEO Robert Iger told shareholders in Albuquerque Thursday. Speaking at the company's annual meeting, Iger said, "Providing physical goods on DVD is tougher and tougher these days because shelf space [at video stores] is limited." Iger also indicated that some Disney shows, produced years ago for other networks, were also likely to turn up on Disney.com. He did not indicate which shows were likely to make the online transition.
Now, it doesn't say whether this includes Aladdin or even any of their other animated series, but I'm trying to be optimistic.  I just want the series to be available; I'm not too picky about the format...

Hmmm... however now I'm seeing this as being a "Lets put the series and episodes on iTunes" thing. |

| Excellent news, but I hope they don't do what the WB did with the unaired Aquaman pilot - put it up on itunes to buy for $0.99 but not available outside the US! If they do this it needs world wide release. I'd buy all of Aladdin, TLM and Hercules in a heart beat! |

I wasn't either, however iTunes isn't cool, is what I meant. D: I dislike iTunes highly. |

I dislike online distribution because I'm a collector and want to have a physical box on my shelf. My favourite video game genre is also moving towards downloadable content, and I can't put into words how much I hate the concept. I know it's better for the publishers, but I'm just so old-fashioned that I'll rebel forever and never support online distribution in any way.
