Nobody awsered my question yet? How long WILL the musical stay in DCA?..is it ganna be till ..this thanksgiving?..next year? this month? ppl give we a time period ..or something..and BJ thaks for the link but I really rather want to see the musical live! but now hearing about that brodaway goes on tour Im less going CRAZY from this move! Laughing

Ps- TRL really needs some aladdin spirt! Wink

Yeah I can't see it going away that quick.

The Broadway show won't open until at least 2008 (maybe even 2009), so I can't see why there would be a rush to end the Musical Spectacular (though it may not last until the Broadway show is released).

I'm very excited about the Broadway show, and so is my mom...although Disney's suddenly churning them out so fast! Tarzan opened, Mary Poppins is coming in October, Mermaid's in production, auditions underway for Aladdin...I need to start saving money so I can keep up with them all!

Hope that gorgeous Hyperion Theatre gets something of the same (or actually, slightly higher...change should produce improvements!) caliber as AMS! Wonder what the Imagineers will have up their sleeves.

Kirsten and i were talking about this yesterday. Were hoping that we get something like Beauty and the Beast to replace aladdin. Granted we can't do a whole 2.5 hour show but a little 45 min broadway version would be nice Smile

Although if the getting rid of Aladdin would be because they don't think they'd need it if they had a Broadway version, it'd seem odd to bring in Beauty and the Beast to replace it, by the same logic.

But if it's a new show with new innovations, to heck with logic. *wonders about the fate of the current Disney on Brodway shows with 3 more slated for the next few years...and the BatB and TLK shows at WDW*

Should be an interesting wait-and-see...you Disneylanders keep us posted, OK? Very Happy

I hope if they do replace the one at the park they don't replace it with another Pixar musical. I honestly didn't think that a Finding Nemo musical was a good idea. But it seems lately Disney has been neglecting their classics or hand drawn animation movies for Pixar's stuff.

Projects for changing DCA into Pixar should be starting this year. Sigh, I hope I get to see Aladdin Musical Spectacular before anything. I will keep you guys posted until further notice. To honest I really don't like the idea about changing DCA to a pixar park.
