Ha! Rule No. 11: Jafar had to go through the terrible sequel. Scar made a quiet exit while the getting was good.

Simba didn't have a flying carpet, either -- just a meerkat and a flatulent warthog.

Well, Pumba was rather good fighting the hyenas. Of course, Rafiki was better.
