| I think I get it: so you consider all of the different media true as far as characterization, and consider all of the different spinoff "universes" as equal to each other? That's interesting; I've never heard of anyone else who thought about it that way. |

| Because all the sequels,the series and etc. are alternate realities,Disney always ingore things,for exmaple (here's an Aladdin example)-In the series Aladdin and Abu first met when Abu was belongs to some theive,in a book he and Aladdin first when Abu was a rich lady's pet and he escaped and met Aladdin,all those things never count,only the original things,unless in a way they show a character (for exmaple-In the series Iago is good and Jasmine is a fighter,so Iago is good and Jasmine is a fighter). |

Well,i got the DVD back in September I really it and both the stories (maybe Aurora's a bit more but still ).
Well,only the original film should be counted so i don't count the series.
I think Jasmine was on character a lot and i liked it better then the series i"m a Disney and a Disney Princess fan . |

Wow, hmmm, I want to see this for the sake of seeing it but am not convinced to spend money on it.
Slightly off topic, but seriously, I read an Amazon review a few weeks back from a mom. She didn't want Disney movies and later explained that they teached 'bad things' to her toddler or something. She mention TLM, it teaching them how to not listen to their parents, and how in Aladdin it teaches you to be 'someone you aren't.' She was a complete airhead about it, also mentioning that she didn't want her child to hear words like 'shut up' and 'idiot.'
So uh, point of this post is that I agree with Calluna: Parents are depending on TV shows to teach their kids nowadays. |

That's exactly what I feared would happen. In one of the reviews it mentions how Playhouse Disney seems to be gaining more and more control; I agree. The majority of toons coming out these days seem as if they're geared towards very young children. It's been a while since I've seen any good series along the lines of the Aladdin tv show or Talespin, that could appeal to all ages (I still watch 'em and I'm 22. ).
Well thank god Iago didn't giggle and play tea party with Jasmine, at least. XD |

Iago, I'd say out of everyone in the story, was the closest to sounding like himself. At first he seemed a bit off, but got better as he became the voice of negativity as usual
And APPARENTLY Aladdin and Genie were "away" for a few days.....k. |

Haven't seen this yet myself, but the more reviews I read the more I'm curious. I've never really looked into the Disney Princess series much (not my thing XD) For some reason it's always made me get the feeling of the Disney girls getting turned into Barbies; ala like all those Barbie movies they keep coming out with. No offense to anyone who enjoys them, but it's just not my thing. Lol.
The fact that Iago's in it might edge me on the rent it sometime though. Although I'm also curious about the "OOC ness" mentioned...as for the time setting, well I can't give my full opinion until I've seen it for myself. I do think there would've been somewhat of an awkward period for the main "good guys" and Iago immediately following RoJ. I was always curious about that (although I don't think this holds any answers for me XD).
Also why no Aladdin or Genie, exactly? If Iago and Abu are there...o.O Alright. I'll just hafta rent this someday and find out. XD |

| If you can I would say rent it before you buy, because I think it depends a lot on what you're expecting. I was expecting an animated version of those Disney Princess storybooks and that's basically what I got, and, like AG, I am a completist. |
