I have no idea, but I would imagine they actually clean them regularly. It just seems like the Disney way...
Is this something that can be looked up? I guess I could try.

Post subject: How often does WDW wash the character costumes?
Just curious and genuinely wondering, how often does Disney World actually wash the character costumes? The full head and body ones like Mickey, Donald, Pluto, etc. I just randomly wondered that today. The heat and the sweat must get intense. Does anybody know?
