Because they had nothing else princess related in the works to shove all that extra stuff on? This might be a sign of a good thing if there's no more princess DVDs coming out
I had the impression that it hadn't sold that well, but it must have if they're putting out a special edition.

Post subject: Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams Special Edition
If you were lucky, I mean, unfortunate enough to miss Disney's
Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams
featuring two (terrible) all-new 30 minute stories starring (someone who was suppose to be) Aurora and (a watered down version of) Jasmine the first time around in 2007, Disney is re-releasing the "Special Edition" version this Tuesday, September 7th 2009 (to make those of us who did see it cry again).
It's the exact same DVD, but with new footage from Disney's upcoming film
The Princess and the Frog
, and two new music videos from the (thank goodness it was) scrapped second volume of the Enchanted Tales series featuring Cinderella and Mulan.
