Disney's Neglected Prince is a hard cover, museum-quality "Art of" book that focuses on the men, whether they rule from a castle, a forest, or a mountaintop, or just marry well. The roster includes royal favorites such as Princes Phillip, Eric, and the Beast; royalty from other realms including Hercules, John Smith and Li Shang; and the latest to ascend to the throne-Prince Edward from the upcoming Disney feature Enchanted and the Prince from The Princess and the Frog. Rare and rarely seen visual development art from The Walt Disney Feature Animation Studio will give Disney fans an opportunity to enjoy these hand-drawn hunks in a whole new way.[/i] w00t, we might get some new Aladdin art [/quote]

From a friend of mine:
According to Amazon.com it's already out, according to Amazon.ca (and a few other sites I've checked) it was supposed to come out the 28th. I just got an email from Amazon.ca saying they are still trying to get a copy of it, and I can wait or cancel the order... but then in the french half of the email it says that the estimated ship date is May 30 2009.
That might be why the book is hard to find
. Plus, the shipping date online says it's 12-14 days, so it's going to take a while either way, apparently.

Has anyone actually bought/looked at this book yet?
I've looked around town, but our bookstore doesn't have it.
I'm headed to Barnes and Noble tomorrow to take a look at it. This book has a ton of potential (but I can't really afford to purchase blind right now).
I'll have a tiny review/report tomorrow (uh, if I can find the book.
)

Plenty more time to pre-order!
I might just end up looking at it at a bookstore first to see if it's worth buying. I don't want to get the whole thing if there's nothing new I haven't seen before in it.

As I like to say "Disney needs to stop thinking they made a movie called Jasmine with some guy named Aladdin as a secondary character."
Especially because they're also under the impression that that movie has no villain.
But the book does look interesting, and reminds me I still need to find the villain book on Amazon.

Tell that to the Disney Princess line. It seems to be about Jasmine, apparently

They should have a Super Big part about Aladdin because hes the BEST Prince!!
I mean the other Princes are ok but they don't have much personality. (With a few exceptions) But Aladdin is THE Prince! The Whole Freakin' Movie is about Him!!

The same goes for
Disney's Dogs
. I love allot of them, Lady and the Tramp, The Dalmations, Oliver but I love the cats more, Simba & Co, Figaro and Rajah. Not that I expect such a book to have production artwork but that Rajah will be mentioned is good enough for me.

I was surprised they even were coming out with a book for the guys and not the girls, to be honest. Maybe they will later on?
