Offended by what, the quip about villains or the original remark about predictability? I'm sure DP was just quoting Jafar for me...I don't mean "predictable" as an insult. I just mean I knew the sort of thing you were going to say. |

I saw that and wasn't sure what the deuce it was in another article, but that makes way more sense now. I am SO riding on those little things, even if I have to squeeze on |

THAT'S JUST GOOFY: Those coin-operated kids rides at the front of grocery and discount stores seem like a pretty meager substitute for actual amusement-park rides. But for those who believe they can convince their kids that they are just as good as the real thing, thus saving money on a theme-park excursion, Bellevue- based Coinstar Inc. plans to dress up those rides.
The company, which makes the familiar coin-sorting and counting machines, said it is manufacturing Disney-character kiddie rides, starting with Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, Mickey Mouse and Buzz Lightyear. Coinstar plans to expand the line next year to include characters from "Aladdin," "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Lilo & Stitch." The company says it already has licensed deals with NASCAR, the National Football League and Professional Bull Riders Inc.
Coinstar, which will roll out 1,000 of the rides starting this fall, says these will be the only Disney kiddie rides in the United States outside of Disney World and Disneyland.
Knock yourself out, kids. |
