Well, my mom is really, and I mean REAAAAALLY sensitive to any and all things fantasy or new age-ish, whatever. She HATED Pokemon, and my sister loved it...thanks to me, hee hee.
Anyway, late one night, she was running around our house, singing, "I'm Mew! I'm a psychic Pokemon!"
My mother nearly KILLED me when she heard that one.
I had to explain, "Mom, it's not a medium, it's a little FAKE creature that attacks by giving other little fake creatures a headache or levitating them or something."
She didn't like that. My sister was banned from ever watching it again until I got Mommy to lighten up.
She's also not allowed to watch Teacher's Pet or Digimon. Apparently, they're both REALLY demonic. Sssssh! Big secret! |

How was it suggestive? *tries to remember, but the last time she watched it, she was too busy laughing at the Shepherd's Journal* |

I thought Atlantis WAS too soap-opera-ey. Blech. Couldn't connect with it at all. And it was a little too suggestive for my sister. |

Yeah, totally thought this was about something else when I saw the thread name
But this sounds like the Kimba/Lion King claim..or the Thief of Bahgdad/Aladdin claim. Lots of claims |
You didn't think disney was going to put Atlantis on broadway or something, did you? Or make a soap opera series? |

I'm sorry - I didn't word what I was trying to say very well. What I was saying is that Atlantis is a myth, so there are some things that are going to be the same among any stories that deal with Atlantis. |

OK, I couldn't find the article again but I found the actual website that started it (Michael Hayden), and it has the guy's email address.
http://www.oldcrows.net/Atlantis/ (original site)
Hayden's site has a link to Marc Hairston's site that debunks all of the "similarities" between Nadia and Atlantis. Here it is:
http://utd500.utdallas.edu/~hairston/atlantis.html (debunking site)
Also according to people who watched both Nadia and Atlantis, they weren't the same movie at all. |

I didn't hear about that, but how would you steal something from anime that is a legend? |
I don't understand the question.
Did you mean, "How can you steal from something, if it's based on a legend?"
Or "How can you steal something from an anime legend?"
