The word "djinni" traces back to the Arabic word "janna," meaning "to cover." Yet they're both pronounced pretty much the same. There was an episode of 'Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers' where if the Genie was released then the person (Or in this case chipmunk) who released him would be the new Genie.
